Excursion


Excursions will take place on Wednesday afternoon, before the Conference Dinner. Two different excursions will be proposed to the participants and accompanying persons. These excursions -choose one- are fully covered by the conference fee. An additional excursion is proposed on Thurdsay after the end of the Symposium.

Excursion of Wednedsay afternoon (included in the fee):
For all participants, the afternoon starts with a boat trip on L'Ill River which surrounds the old town of Strasbourg and the central island with views over the European Parliament.
Then attendees will have the choice between:
- guided tour of the old town and of the Cathedral (with the famous astronomical clock).
- guided tour of the beautiful wine cellar "Hospices Civils", belonging to the historical part of Strasbourg's Hospital with wine tasting -if wished of course.

Excursion of Thursday afternoon/evening (NOT included in the fee):
Right after the end of the scientific program (around 5:30 pm), we might propose to those interested a tour in the country-side of Strasbourg, the so-called "Route des Vins". In the middle of charming hills in the wine-producing aera you will visit a typical Alsacien village. In the evening, you will have dinner in a restaurant serving local food.
The tour will be made by bus, and the number of participant will be limited. The price will depend on the number of participant. Please note that this excursion might not be organized. More information at the beginning of the Symposium.
